Nutrisystem Daily Snack Guidelines:
Nutrisystem also works snacks into the diet as it’s a great way to retrain your body to enjoy healthy foods. This is essential for keeping the weight off after the diet.
So in addition to the Nutrisystem meals, on this diet, you can also have:
– 1 Smartcarb per day (ie, berries, hummus, beans, whole-grain crackers, starchy vegetables like sweet potatoes etc.)
– 3 Powerfuels per day (ie. hard-boiled egg, mixed nuts, water-packed tuna, low-fat string cheese, non-fat greek yogurt, etc.)
– 4 Servings of non-starchy vegetables (zucchini, lettuce, asparagus, cucumber, baby carrots, etc.)
Many people choose to add their veggies into their meals (like a side salad with dinner) and have their Smartcarbs and Powerfuels for snacks.
However it’s really up to you as to what works best.
Also note that you can have a Nutrisystem shake as one of your Powerfuels for the day if that’s easier for you.
I’ve added suggestions for snacks into the day menu above – but keep in mind these are largely up to you (as long as you’re following the Nutrisystem snack guidelines).
